There are only a handful of weeks before the Christmas season. To ensure that your family celebrates Christmas in a beautiful way, it's important to have a home that is welcoming and conducive to the Christmas festivities. Many people will simply add little Christmas decorations inside their home in preparation for the party celebrations. However, if you'd like your home to be fantastic for the season, then consider doing a full home renovation, including new Empire Carpet.
It is the ideal time to make such a big decision because you'll have more time to prepare for new flooring during the holidays when you are off work. Additionally, it's a great time to give your home a makeover in order to mark the new changes that your family will experience for the new year. Furthermore, a brand new carpet, for example from Empire Today, can make your Christmas more homey because the carpet will make your floors warmer and cozier, which can be great for when your kids and other family members gather together on the floor around the Christmas tree to open presents.

Liz Orme, Karen Harbick and Frances Blake enjoy the process of selecting colorful fabrics and brilliant patterns for the reusable Christmas bags they will be sewing by hand for the Lord Kelvin Christmas Gift Company, in an effort to promote environmental sustainability. This "company" is actually an annual project at the Lord Kelvin inner city elementary school in New Westminster, British Columbia, where donated gifts are distributed to students and their families at Christmas time.
The gifts used to be wrapped, but last year the school's council felt that aspect of the program was too expensive and time consuming. One council member decided to use fabric gift bags instead, which is what her family uses to wrap their gifts. Since that would require making as many as 2,000 bags, she enlisted the help of some friends, who recruited others, and soon they had more then enough help to get all of the bags made in time.
